  1. I just saw this on Facebook. My hubby and I are in counseling right now. Marriage is hard work! Anyway, we've been married for 22 years and the most effective lesson we've learned through the years is: My spouse is not my enemy.

    We've had to remind ourselves of this quite often because there are days when it sure feels like we're on opposite sides!

    Wow, yes, that one lesson alone (my spouse is not the enemy) can cut down on sharp words and brutal attacks.

    We're still in process on that one, too! Satan, the real enemy wants to distract, deceive, and destroy. Oh, how he can drive a wedge between couples if we allow him space.
